As previously mentioned, this online slot machine is set up like the arcade games of old. It has a slightly different layout to one you might expect, with a 7×7 grid rather than the more usual 5×3. In fact, the way the gems are set out and the colourful look to the slot brings to mind many of the Candy Crush style of games that are so popular.

These colourful reels are set to a rather lovely backdrop that is more muted in its colouration, featuring a series of sunlit trees instead of garishly coloured ones that you might expect given the theme. An Unusual Setup

Unlike other games, the object of Gemix slot is to land groupings of at least five gems of a single colour. These can touch each other in any fashion apart from on the diagonal. Each world contains three levels and these are completed by matching gems in the same patterns that you can see beneath the gems. Finally there is World Wilds, which is where the Gemix free spins come into play.
